Day 1

We leave from Arequipa at 15.00 and travel via Aplao and Chuquibamba, trekking to the first camp at the lagoon of Pallarcocha (4,200 meters), where we arrive at 22.00.

Day 2

We start climb from the lagoon at 8:00 towards the Coropuna base camp at 5200 meters, a walk of approximately 4 hours.

Day 3

After an energetic breakfast leave base camp at 2:00 h. for the summit of climbing for about 5 hours and arriving at the 6,424 m. peak. The same day we return to base camp, descending for about 2 or 3 hours.

Day 4

We return to Arequipa by public transport, arriving at about 3:00 in the morning next day.

Equipment:

About the porters for Coropuna the costs is US$ 90. Each porter (normally we don't use porters), about what you need to bring:

About the items to carry normally the guide carry the cooking gear and the food for cooking and his own equipment and the passengers carry the own gear it means all the list about, if you need a porter for a half of your equipment you need only one for 2 people if you want to carry nothing you need one porter each (in Arequipa is not porters like in the Inca trail, here the porter is another guide but normally we don't use porters).
